All Saints' takes its responsibility to young people and adults who are or may be vulnerable very seriously and has a full set of policies and procedures in place to ensure everyone is safe and secure. You can read a summary of the key principles here. Fuller information can be obtained from Mrs Lyn Paddon, our Parish Safeguarding Officer (contact details below) or Mary Penny (contact details below)

This has some practical implications for how we work:

  • All people who act in a supervisory capacity have been DBS checked to the enhanced level.
  • All children/vulnerable adults must be properly delivered and collected from the church and 'handed over' into the care of a supervising adult. We must know who will collect them.
  • We must have name, address, date of birth and at least one contact number in case of emergency.
  • For anyone with a known medical condition, we must be aware of this and what action we are/are not to take.
